How do I use Platinum Therapy Lights? What distance should I be from the light? What about dosage?
Use the light on bare skin for 10–20 minutes per treatment area with BIOMAX models, or 7–14 minutes per area with BIOMAX Pro models due to their higher output. Maintain a distance of 8–14 inches for deeper tissue work, or 16–24 inches for facial skin. Limit sessions to two or three treatment areas per day and begin with a slower, farther approach until you find your tolerance. Aim for 3–5 sessions per week for best results. For skin areas with hyperpigmentation, use only the red array, as near-infrared (NIR) may aggravate those spots.
Why aren't all the LEDs illuminating on my light? It looks like some of them are off.
This is normal. The devices use near-infrared (NIR+) wavelengths that fall outside the visible spectrum. These LEDs appear unlit even though they are working. NIR emission alternates with visible red LEDs, so every other row may look off while the light is functioning correctly.
Why do the LEDs seem to change color after using them for a bit? Why do some look yellow or green at times?
The LEDs themselves do not change color. What changes is your eye's perception. After exposure to precise wavelengths such as 630 nm and 660 nm, your eyes adjust, making the 630 nm LEDs appear amber, yellow, or green relative to the 660 nm LEDs. Once you return to normal lighting, your eyes re-adjust.
Do I need to wear eye protection? Are the lights safe for my eyes?
The included goggles are optional. Light intensity, not wavelength, determines eye safety. Avoid staring directly into the LEDs and treat them as you would any bright light source. Many users close their eyes or look away during sessions.
Can I adjust the output of the lights?
Yes. BIOMAX units allow digital control of output intensity from 0% to 100%. You can separately control the R+ wavelengths (630 and 660 nm) and NIR+ wavelengths (810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm), with independent on/off control of the 480 nm blue light.
BIOMAX Pro models expand on this with full individual wavelength control, allowing you to adjust each wavelength independently from 0% to 100% for maximum customization and precision.
Can I turn off the blue lights?
Yes. On BIOMAX units, you can turn the blue light on or off through the Settings menu by ensuring the “Blue” button is not highlighted. On BIOMAX Pro models, the 480 nm blue wavelength can be adjusted from 0% to 100% within the Spectrum menu.
Can I use the light without a stand? Can I lay the light on its side?
Yes. Users often lean the panel against a wall, hang it over a door, or lie next to it on a yoga mat. Feel free to get creative!
Can Platinum Therapy Lights be used with a pacemaker?
The lights are sold for general wellness and have not been tested with pacemakers or implants. Consult your physician before use.
Can I use a smartphone instead of a remote for my therapy light?
Yes. A smartphone app is available for both iPhone and Android as an alternative to the physical remote, allowing you to control the light directly from your phone.

Yes. Many customers use our lights with dogs, cats, horses, and other animals. Animals typically respond very well to red and near infrared light therapy. We recommend starting with shorter sessions and allowing the animal to move away freely if desired. Here is a link to our learn section on use for pets: Use for Pets
Are the lights safe for all ages?
Generally, yes. Red and near infrared light therapy are non-invasive and drug-free. Our lights are used by people of many ages. However, we advise consulting with your pediatrician before starting any new therapy. They will be able to provide personalized recommendations based on your child’s specific needs and health condition.
Does the light produce heat?
Yes, but our lights primarily deliver light energy, not heat energy. While the panels may feel warm during use, the therapeutic effects come from the light itself rather than heating the body like a sauna or heating pad.
Can I fly with my panels?
Yes, although larger panels may need to be checked due to size and weight restrictions. We strongly recommend contacting your airline before traveling to confirm their specific baggage policies and size limitations. For transport, we also recommend using the original packaging or a heavily padded hard case to help protect the panel during travel.
